T-700 Applications

1,600 - 2,500+ Shaft Horsepower Class

Nearly 10,000 T700/CT7 engines operate worldwide, powering most mid-size military and civil helicopters.  They have accumulated more than 15,000,000 flight hours and demonstrated their exceptional performance, reliability and maintainability even in the harshest commercial and combat operating environments.

A continuous infusion of the latest technology keeps current T700/CT7 models the world's best and most advanced helicopter engines in production.  A 2,400 SHP-class growth derivative with 20 percent more power than the -401C/-701C models, meets requirements of the next generation of helicopters.  Launched in 1994 for the European NH90, it is the basis of a new family of T700 derivatives for both rotary- and fixed-wing applications.

Features of the growth engine include an increased efficiency, higher airflow compressor, improved hot section technology used in today's CT7 turboprop, Full Authority Digital Electronic Control (FADEC), and provision for a bolt-on inlet particle separator.  Flight test is scheduled for 1997.
