LM2500

The LM2500 gas turbine, in a wide variety of industrial environments, uses the latest powerplant technology to give you the following advantages:

  • High efficiency while operating at conservative metal temperatures

  • Corrosive-resistant metals and coatings

  • Ease of handling/quick changeout to optimize availability

GE Aircraft Engines

In desert, arctic, and marine applications, the LM2500 gas turbine has demonstrated the flexibility to operate on a range of fuel and fuel/water combinations. The engine is also ideally suited for cogeneration and combined-cycle applications. Overall system efficiency can be greatly increased by using the exhaust gas heat to generate steam, which then may be used for other process requirements.

The LM2500 has an outstanding 99.6% availability rate; out of every 10,000 hours of service, engines have required an average of only 40 hours of corrective maintenance. Current production engines have an expected hot section maintenance repair interval of 12-15,000 hours.

GE provides a spectrum of customer services tailored to the needs of the individual operator, to maximize equipment availability and minimize operating costs.
